Important questions and answers
Yes, absolutely risk-free! Cancellation & changes are always free of charge at Skibase! We want you to remain flexible.
- With insurance: With our optional theft and breakage insurance, you are optimally protected and do not have to replace the current value (can be booked for an additional charge).
- Without insurance: The customer must reimburse the current value.
- Important: The theft must be reported to the local police.
The customer must reimburse the current value unless he has taken out the optional insurance. We offer an insurance to avoid surcharge. If you are a DSV member, please check whether your membership already includes insurance cover.
- Family hit: If father and mother rent, one child up to 9.9 years gets the equipment for FREE.
- Online advantage: If you make your booking online, you will receive a discount on the rental price. Book easily, quickly and securely from home!

Stay flexible! You can change your equipment every day. Within the same category, the change is even free of charge.
Yes, of course! We have a large selection of suitable, comfortable boots for ski and snowboard hire.
If you would like to try out different devices and remain flexible, it is only worth buying after 14 rental days. Until then, renting is the better option. Our rental skis are serviced and waxed after each use.
Touring skis with ascent bindings and skins, snow skis, rucksack, avalanche transceiver, shovel/probe, drink, small snack, change of shirt, spare goggles, small scarf, sun protection. Special touring ski boots are not absolutely necessary at the beginning!
Yes, this works excellently (with good to very good technique).
Yes, that is absolutely no problem.
- Beginner skiers: We recommend a length up to approx. chest/shoulder height.
- Touring beginners/good skiers: A length from shoulder height to body height is ideal here (with good fitness and agility/tip turns).
Yes, of course! You also receive a full guarantee on our carefully maintained, used equipment.

- In our rental pool skis are only used for a maximum of two winters.
- If you buy skis, you can use them forabout five winters (if you don’t ski often, you can use them for longer).
